U.S. Embassy Pristina informs U.S. citizens that according to media reports demonstrations are expected to take place tomorrow, June 26, 2015 in the morning and early afternoon in front of the Assembly building near the National Theatre in downtown Pristina. The KLA War Veterans Organizations in Kosovo will be demonstrating against pending legislation. The anticipated size of the protest is unknown.
Even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and escalate into violence. You should avoid areas of demonstrations, and exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.
