U.S. Embassy Pristina informs U.S. citizens that according to reports, protests are expected to take place in Prizren on Saturday, December 19, 2015. Political parties in Kosovo will be demonstrating against the Government of Kosovo. The anticipated size of the protest is unknown.
U.S. citizens should avoid areas of demonstrations, and exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations. Even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and escalate into violence. U.S. citizens should monitor media and local information sources and factor updated information into personal travel plans and activities.
