U.S. Embassy Pristina informs U.S. citizens that according to media reports, a demonstration organized by a political party is expected to take place today, August 27, 2015 beginning at 12:00 noon in front of the National Theater on Mother Theresa Boulevard in downtown Pristina. The purpose and the anticipated size of the protest is unknown at this time.
Even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and escalate into violence. You should avoid areas of demonstrations, and exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.
