The U.S. Embassy Pristina informs U.S. citizens that demonstrations in Pristina are expected to begin at Zahir Pajaziti Square, continuing along Mother Teresa Road in close proximity to government buildings on August 10, 2016 starting at 19:00. The protest is projected to move toward and ultimately end near the government buildings. A group of citizens in Kosovo will be demonstrating against the Government of Kosovo. The anticipated size of the protest is unknown.
Even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and escalate into violence. You should avoid areas of demonstrations, and exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.
