Event: Given several recent security incidents in the north of Kosovo, the U.S. Embassy wishes to remind U.S. citizens that the current travel advisory for the region is Level 3, Reconsider Travel. The U.S. government has limited ability to provide emergency services to U.S. citizens in the north of Kosovo as U.S. government employee travel to North Mitrovica, Leposavic, Zubin Potok, and Zvecan is restricted. The embassy encourages U.S. citizens to remain vigilant and to avoid demonstrations, as even those intended to be peaceful could escalate and turn confrontational.
