The Embassy of the United States notes that Kosovo needs a functioning Assembly to pass the legislation necessary to provide a secure and prosperous future for the citizens of the country. We welcome the successful completion of the last plenary session and support all measures within Kosovo law and the Assembly’s rules of procedure to ensure that the Assembly can do its important job. Peaceful debate is an inherent part of any democracy, but violence has no role. We strongly condemn the violence last night and commend the Kosovo Police for their professionalism.
